🌙 the universe listens
To the ones reading this on a bus ride, after a long school day, between sips of cold coffee, or in the middle of a breakdown you didn’t schedule —
I hope the sky above you is kinder today.
And if it isn't — I hope this piece becomes the warmth you needed.
Welcome back to ACOTBW
A corner that doesn’t promise answers but, will always hold space for your questions. This week’s post? It's personal. It’s a whisper. It’s a secret I’ve been meaning to share. And it starts from a very specific moment;
Prologue— Just a Tuesday
It was one of those forgettable Tuesdays.
I was waiting at a traffic signal — sweaty school bag on my back, headphones dying in one ear, and a cold coffee sweating in the other. Everything felt loud. My thoughts. The honking. The way life just kept happening while I was still trying to catch up.
Then —
the auto in front of me had a sticker.
Big white font. Black background.
“Trust the timing of your life.”
And I laughed. Out loud. Not because it was profound. But because I’d just whispered those exact words in my head two minutes ago. I hadn’t told anyone. Not even my journal.
That tiny moment didn’t fix anything.
But it changed something.
Like the Universe winked. Like it heard me. Like it responded.
That was the moment I started believing maybe all these signs —
the 11:11s, the sudden songs, the repeating numbers —
weren’t just cute coincidences.
Maybe the Universe doesn’t need a mic to speak.
Maybe it just needs you to notice.
MAIN ESSAY — the universe listens
You don’t need a telescope to speak to the stars.
You just need to speak like someone who believes they’re being heard.
We’ve romanticised the phrase “The Universe is listening” so often that we’ve forgotten — it’s not a tagline. It’s a truth. A quiet, curious, cosmic one. A concept people often throw around in aesthetics and captions — but never sit down with.
So today, let’s sit. And let’s talk about how the Universe actually listens — and how you can start listening back.
✧ on manifestation —
You are not foolish for wanting more.
When people hear “manifestation,” they often think of Pinterest boards, girls writing “I AM ENOUGH” in glitter pens, or influencers casually saying, “I manifested this trip to Greece.” And sure, it can be that. But it’s also science.
At its core, manifestation isn’t about tricking the Universe — it’s about aligning with it.
Your brain is built with something called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). It's a filter. A pattern-noticer. When you deeply focus on a thought — “I want to be confident,” “I will get this opportunity,” — your RAS starts picking up cues and chances that support this belief. You don’t attract things with magic. You see them because now you’re looking.
Manifestation isn’t a spell. It’s a spotlight.
🌻 How to apply:
-
Speak your desires aloud. Not to convince the world, but to inform your own mind.
-
Journal affirmations in present tense: “I am…” not “I will be…”
-
Visualise like it already happened. Trick the brain gently — it’ll start moving accordingly.
✧ on subliminals —
The softest voices shape you.
Subliminals are low-frequency affirmations layered into sounds — music, rainfall, even white noise. Your conscious mind may not catch them, but your subconscious always does. These messages creep beneath the clutter of your day, and slowly plant seeds.
Used wisely, subliminals aren’t shortcuts. They’re rewiring tools. They’re the late-night voice reminding you, “You are not too much. You’re just enough.”
🌙 When it works best:
While sleeping, walking, or relaxing — when your conscious guard is down. Try a 5-minute subliminal on self-worth for a week. Listen quietly. Don’t expect fireworks. Expect gentle shifts.
✧ on angel numbers —
No, it’s not always a coincidence.
You’re crying in the backseat and the car in front of you says 444. You’re about to give up and your phone lights up with 11:11.
Skeptics call it randomness.
But what if it’s divine timing?
Angel numbers are sequences that carry symbolic meanings — like 222 for alignment, 555 for change, 777 for spiritual luck. Whether or not you believe someone is sending them, they can be used as anchors. As signs to pause and check in with yourself.
🔁 Don’t just notice them. Ask yourself:
What was I thinking of when I saw this number?
What did I need to hear?
Sometimes, the number isn’t magic. The moment is.
✧ on vision boards —
Your dreams need visuals. Not because they’re pretty — but because they’re reminders.
A vision board is a mirror. Not of where you are, but of where you’re going.
Making one isn’t about creating a collage of unrealistic goals. It’s about showing your subconscious what “home” could look like. You see what you feed. Feed dreams, not doubt.
🖼️ Tips to make one powerful:
-
Don’t overthink aesthetics — focus on emotional truth.
-
Add quotes you’ve written, not just found.
-
Make it your wallpaper. Let it be the first thing your eyes touch every day.
✧ on the myth of coincidence —
The song didn’t just play. The person didn’t just call.
The thought didn’t just hit you.
Maybe it’s all coincidental.
Or maybe… it’s choreography.
When you start trusting the Universe, you don’t become delusional — you become attuned. The world becomes less of a mess and more of a mosaic. Random things start to hold relevance.
That’s not fiction. That’s faith.
✧ on asking —
Say what you want. Not what you fear.
Most of us spend our energy explaining what we don’t want. “I don’t want to fail. I don’t want to be lonely. I don’t want to be average.”
But the Universe can’t respond to negatives. It moves in clarity. Direction.
Start telling it what you do want — unapologetically.
“I want to be deeply understood.”
“I want the kind of peace that doesn’t vanish.”
“I want a life that feels like mine.”
Speak. Even if your voice cracks. Speak. Especially then.
✧ on waiting —
The Universe doesn’t ghost you. It just waits till you’re ready.
The hardest part about trusting signs is… time. You plant. You water. You cry. You wait. And nothing shows up.
But here’s a thing to hold close — delays aren’t always denials. Maybe what you asked for is coming, just in a shape you weren’t expecting. Maybe it’s wearing a disguise. Maybe it's teaching you how to wait well.
🌒 In the meantime:
-
Celebrate small proof. A kind message. A sudden opportunity.
-
Keep aligning. Even when you’re unsure.
-
Rest. You’re not being lazy. You’re being led.
✧ the whisper of the universe
This essay isn’t to turn you into someone obsessed with signs or to sell you some high-vibe lifestyle. It’s simply to remind you — that you’re not foolish for believing the world is talking to you.
Because maybe it is.
In every 11:11 wish.
In every stranger’s compliment.
In every “coincidental” memory.
In every door that didn’t open — and every one that did.
The Universe doesn’t scream. It whispers.
And if you really quiet down…
you’ll hear it.
OUTRO — from my heart to yours
If you’ve reached here, thank you. For staying. For still choosing hope.
This blog isn’t a magic wand. But maybe, it’s a window. One you needed to breathe.
I hope today’s words made you feel less alone in your wondering. And more open in your receiving.
This week, may you ask more boldly.
May you listen more softly.
May you believe more deeply.
And may the Universe… always listen back!
With all the manifestations visualised,
Srilaks 🌙✨
